La Rosiere, together with the Italian ski resort of La Thuile is lift-linked to form a substantial ski area known as Espace San Bernardo. The two, provide skiers with approximately 152 km of slopes best suited for, novices, intermediaries and families. However, there is plenty of space for everyone to have fun including pro skiers as they can venture further to La Thuile for the more challenging piste.

La Rosiere ski holidays render more than what you bargained for. Situated approximately two hours from Chambéry and on the Franco-Italian border, this resort offers tranquillity and ticks all the boxes for someone looking for an escape to the slopes without having to brave through crowds.
Though quieter and smaller compared to its neighbours like La Plagne, Les Arc, and Val d’Isère, sunny disposition with south-facing slopes, Savoyard traditional atmosphere plus access to the epic San Bernardo ski area makes the resort an Alpine gem.
The snow conditions are usually excellent and among the most promising in the French mountains. However, as stated above, the slopes are south-facing so the terrain gets slushy with temperature rise but the sunshine, as well as the glorious views, cover up for this downside.
Its location is second to none offering picturesque views overlooking three of the most iconic peaks in Europe – the majestic Mont Blanc, the Matterhorn, and the Monterosa.
The resort is basically made up of two villages; La Rosiere Centre and Les Eucherts linked by a breath-taking path weaving through tons of trees or a free bus ride. The distance between the two is pretty short and you can take a pleasant stroll for under 15 minutes.

La Rosiere Accommodation
There is a great range of La Rosiere Accommodation and you should settle for one that meets your needs best. Generally, the resort isn’t exactly lively once the night falls but you can still find bars and restaurants to have a bit of fun.
The key is to select your accommodation based on your needs. Les Eucherts, for instance, is quieter, smaller and with a greater number of ski-in ski-out accommodations making it the perfect choice for families with kids.
La Rosière centre, on the other hand, has a wider selection of bars, shops and restaurants which is a perfect setting for a group of friends yearning for a bit of social scene.
The resort is dotted with rustic chalets and apartments with a great combination of traditional and luxury. If you want hotel accommodation though your choices may be limited. But if you book well in advance, you can get one that will cater to your preference.
