We are here to hopefully make this choice a bit easier by supplying some information about the different possibilities out there.
Once you have had a read about the different ski property France options below, you might want to read further information about each option as you’ll be given advantages and disadvantages of each one along with various reasons to choose one or the other, in addition to some examples and suggestions.
Apartments

If you are looking for privacy and flexibility, then choosing an apartment is probably your best bet. You have your own space which you can come and go whenever you want. You can cook your own meals as most of them will have their own kitchens with varying levels of facilities available. From simply a microwave and hobs, possibly an oven and additional luxuries such as a dishwasher. You have the option to prepare everything yourselves or go out to eat if you don’t fancy cooking.
Chalets

Staying in a chalet, depending on the size and if you are sharing with others, can be a really sociable way to enjoy your ski holiday. If you are a big group going away, you can all eat and relax together. If you have taken sole occupancy of the chalet, you will feel at home within your own private space, which you can in general come and go as you please. If you are sharing with other people you don’t know, you’ll have the chance to meet new and interesting people. You can then choose to spend more or less time with them during the week. If you are lucky, there may be extra facilities such as a sauna or hot tub. Chalets are often very close to the pistes offering ski in/out or if not, are close to a bus stop and/or may have their own shuttle bus to take you to the slopes.
Hotels

Staying in a hotel gives you complete privacy in your own room to relax and unwind. You can then come down when you are ready to eat breakfast with most hotels including it as standard. With many of them offering the option to have dinner included with various options available depending on the standard of the hotel you are staying in. They tend to have very good locations in the centre of the village and may offer extra facilities such as a ski/boot room, sauna, bar and terrace to name a few. There are normally plenty of staff on hand such as a receptionist, concierge, barman or cleaner to either ask questions or help improve your stay.
Residence

Staying in a residence offers you the combination of staying in an apartment but within a large building or complex of buildings which often offer extra facilities which include but are not limited to a spa, on-site parking, ski/boot room and a gym. Normally there is a reception to offer help and advice during your stay or if you would like to borrow a cooking apparatus such as a fondue machine.
