Chardons Bivouac in Val d’Isere is in the heart of the beautiful old town area, offering flexible accommodation and modern facilities in a traditional, quaint alpine ski chalet. The location of the chalet is a real gem. It is just a 3-minute walk from the buzz of central Val dāIsĆØre with its bars, restaurants, shops and busy nightlife but is itself in a quiet side-road and only a one-minute walk from the main Solaise and Olympique ski lifts in the centre of the resort. Wooden panelling in the traditional Savoie style creates a warm and cosy atmosphere to unwind after a long day skiing.
Chardons Bivouac in Val d’Isere offers accommodation over 3 floors, with space in the eaves being utilised on the upper floor to offer mezzanine accommodation in rooms 2, 3 & 4. Entry to the chalet is on the ground floor. Youāll pass the ski storage area where heated boot warmers are situated. On this floor you will find the ownerās apartment, as well as bedroom 1.
The shared living space is accessed by descending the stairs to the lower ground floor where youāll find a dining room where the home-cooked breakfast and evening meals are taken. There is also a shared living space in which to enjoy your afternoon tea, play the chalet board games, or just relax in front of the wood burning stove.
Every day you’ll be offered a hearty breakfast with continental and hot options, including pastries and freshly baked bread. When you return from your dayās activities youāll find afternoon tea with cakes and other treats ready and waiting for you to ensure you donāt go hungry before the magnificent 5-course evening meal which includes canapĆ©s, a cheeseboard and port. Quality French bottled wine will also be served throughout dinner for a magnificent Alpine experience.
A private chef and host will ensure your holiday is relaxing, your needs are anticipated and your appetite is well satisfied.
Several of the rooms have a mezzanine level offering additional accommodation, making them ideal for families. These rooms on the second floor also have access to the wrap-around balcony, perfect to retire on to enjoy the alpine outdoors after relaxing in the chalet sauna.
On the second floor there are four double or twin bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms with WC, and access to a shared balcony with village and mountain views. Three of the rooms have mezzanine floors, accessed via stairs within the rooms, for additional beds if they are required for groups of three or four persons. Please note these are not suitable for young children.
