Chalet Chardon is a lovely chalet in the Mussillon/Plan Moulin district of Meribel, set back from the road and accessed via a set of steps. This setting affords wonderful, uninterrupted views of the peaks from both the generous balcony off the lounge and dining room, and from all the bedrooms, the majority of which also have a balcony.

Guests have plenty of ski access options here, with the nearest bus stop to reach the Rond Point des Pistes at the top of the resort only 50m from the chalet.

Another is just 300m away taking you towards the resort centre, stopping by the escalator for the Doron piste that runs down to the Chaudanne area and the main resort lifts.

At the end of the day, you can ski down the Houlotte piste at the Morel chair and walk 900m downhill to the chalet, or ski back to the Chaudanne or the Rond Point and catch the ski-bus which runs every 15 minutes in peak times.

For those wishing to stroll into the resort centre in the evenings, it’s a 10 minute (750m) walk to some of the best après-ski venues in the Alps and the ski bus runs until midnight.

The interior style is a blend of classic Alpine meets modern, with tiled or wooden floors, pine panelling throughout and cosy soft furnishings and rugs.

The large exposed stone fireplace is the focal point of the lounge which also has a TV and DVD player. Throughout the property there is a lovely airy feel, thanks to the many large windows and some high or sloping ceilings, as well as skylights in some bedrooms and bathrooms.

On the lower ground floor a ski and boot room, as well as a sauna, complete the comforts for guests here.
