Hotel Folie Douce in Chamonix is located in the famous Palace of Chamonix – formerly known as the Grand Savoy Palace – the hotel looks over the heart of the town, with everything you need on your doorstep.

It’s ski-in, ski-out, and the Savoy lift is only metres away, so you’ll be up in the Brévent-Flégère ski area in no time at all.

Hotel Folie Douce in Chamonix, from the name that brought you the most legendary après bars in the French Alps, comes the flagship Hotel Folie Douce.

if you’re a beginner, you’ll be picked up for your lessons at the hotel, meaning you don’t have to brave the piste before you’re ready, or awkwardly lug around your skis.

After you’ve prised yourself away from the piste and the ski lifts shut up shop, you can head back to enjoy four hours of non-stop après from 4-8pm every single day at the After Mountain Party Bar, with singers, dancers and DJs.

For something a little more low-key, try one of the delicious cocktails at Bar Janssen.

It’s not all about partying though. The spa, spanning 640m², offers you the chance to relax after a day on the mountain.

Warm up in the sauna or steam room, or join in a yoga lesson in the Zen room.

If you’re more the outdoorsy type, there’s an incredible outdoor pool offering stunning views of the Mont Blanc.

The kids won’t be bored, either, as the hotel runs its own kids’ club with a range of indoor and outdoor activities like movie nights and snowman-building.

The food options are impressive too. Half-board meals can be taken in the Savoyard and French-themed Le Petite Cuisine, serving up the likes of raclette, pizza and pasta, or in the brasserie-style La Fruitiere and La Mayen for a supplement – the dishes here are divine.

If you’re feeling peckish in the afternoon, you can also grab a quick bite from the street-food stall, Le Kiosco.

After the day is done, you can retire to bed in a contemporary, ambient room, and get ready to do it all again.

Hot and cold buffet breakfast.

3-Course evening meals with dessert buffet (taken at La Petite Cuisine).

Half-board meals can also be taken in La Fruitiere or La Mayen for a supplement.

Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve gala dinners included.

All rooms are non-smoking and have free WiFi and a safe.

Superior rooms also have tea and coffee facilities, hairdryer, slippers and bathrobes.

Cots and interconnecting rooms are available on request.
