Les Menuires Catered Chalets – For the best part of its existence, picturesque architecture would have been a misleading description of this resort. It has always been dubbed as the ugliest resort in the French Alps, but with a new facelift, you can now enjoy the luxury of skiing in the largest ski domain in the world and staying in a decent hub offering great value for money compared to the neighbouring resorts. Les Menuires catered chalets are not only cheaper but also fantastically situated – ski-in/ski-out or conveniently close to the lifts such that, you don’t waste a minute traversing.
Les Menuires Ski Chalets
Here are a few examples of Les Menuires ski chalets:
Chalet Gabrielle in Les Menuires is a great example of ski-in/ski-out catered chalets situated at the centre of it all; Bruyéres gondola lift is literally at the doorstep, village amenities plus the ski school are just a stone throw away and the free bus service to help you navigate the village is barely a 2 minutes’ walk.
The chalet accommodates between 12 and 16 people but it collaborates with its two sisters to shelter huge groups of up to 75 individuals. The chalet appearance is charming and the prices are pretty friendly.
Situated in the staggering satellite village adjoining the River Doron and just below the majestic peak of La Masse, Chalet Irene in Les Menuires is not only one of the most affordable accommodations in the resort, but it also offers some of the most captivating views of the river and the village.
This catered chalet accommodates about 8 adults, 2 kids and you can book it for exclusive occupancy if you’re in a small group of up to 10 persons.

Les Menuires Ski Pass
Les Menuires ski pass gives you access to some of the best slopes in awesomely varied terrain. The runs are particularly great for beginners and intermediaries but the advanced skiers aren’t underserved either as the resort links to over 600km conveniently served by about 180 lifts.
Standing at an altitude of 1,850m, the snow conditions of the resort are pretty impressive throughout the season and being close and well linked to other high-altitude resorts in Three Valleys means you can enjoy a skiing getaway at about any time of the year.
However, it’s important to note that most of the local slopes are south-facing which makes the snow cover slushy when the day is hot. But you can always make your way to the slopes before the sun gets too hot.

Les Menuires Nightlife
Les Menuires nightlife isn’t the liveliest in the French mountains but there is a good selection of small bars and restaurants to keep you occupied after the sunset.
It may not be the best option for a group of young people with a lot of energy to burn but it’s among the most peaceful havens perfect for people yearning to escape the crowds.
Over the years, the resort has gained popularity among families with young kids and skiers looking for a calm getaway.
