Sainte Foy Tarentaise Chalets – If the map was anything to go with, this tiny village doesn’t stack up against its neighbours. However, it’s probably the best-kept secret in the French mountains. Not only is it one of the few resorts that have retained their French charming tradition but also, the Sainte Foy Tarentaise chalets provide a perfect haven at a fraction of what would otherwise cost you an arm and a leg in the larger neighbouring resorts.
Standing at 1550m, Sainte Foy Tarentaise offers an excellent skiing base and gives you an opportunity to experience the Alpine authentic vibe.
The Sainte Foy Tarentaise Chalets are constructed using the traditional timber and stone style which creates a great contrast with the snow. As for the views, they’re simply unrivalled with the majestic Mont Pourri Mountain in the opposite direction and the stunning Tarentaise valley at the foot of the resort.
Chalet Sapins in Sainte Foy is a beautiful chalet option only minutes from the pistes but secluded enough to provide luxurious and intimate privacy.
It’s an all-around fantastic winter destination – not only suited for snow and skiing fanatics but also a great place to relax, unwind and enjoy the unassuming alpine charm.

Sainte Foy is a great option for families and a group of people with different skiing abilities as it caters for all from beginners to advanced skiers.
The kids can start out on the nursery slopes which are fitted with magic carpets while the beginners and intermediates indulge themselves in uncrowded, quiet slopes.
There are 7 blues, 2 greens, 11 reds, and 4 black runs not to mention the extensive off-piste trails for the advanced skiers to explore – definitely, more than enough to exhaust in a week.
In addition, Sainte Foy Tarentaise resort is awesomely nestled among some of the finest resorts in Europe; Val d’Isere, Les Arcs, La Rosiere, and Tignes which means you can have a day out and sample the world-class resorts then retire back to the tranquil, family-friendly atmosphere at the end of the day.
There is plenty to take in for non-skiers as well – they can join in the fun by meeting the rest of the crowd in the mountain restaurants which can be accessed either via the rift-system or walking up the easy slopes.
Off the slopes, the social scene can’t be termed as the liveliest in the French Alps but there is a good selection of bars, shops and restaurants to make your evenings fun.
This also means the resort is perfectly calm at night which makes it a great option for families.
