A few years ago, seeing a skiing helmet on the pistes was a rare sight. They were obviously being made and you could buy them relatively easily, but most people just chose not to wear one.

On the lead up to this year’s ski season, however, we’ve seen a huge amount of talk around helmets. It seems that people are starting to understand that they can do a lot to reduce the risk of any major injury (that is, should you be one of the rare unlucky ones to be involved in an accident when you’re out skiing).
